A bridge comprises of two or more dental crowns on both sides of the gap (called abutment teeth) and an artificial tooth/teeth in between (known as pontics) to restore your smile’s function and appearance. Bridges can last over ten years and sometimes more, even a lifetime, with proper oral hygiene care and regular professional cleaning. However, they might need replacement due to daily wear.
